Every image you generate spends credits. The exact cost depends on the model, the resolution, and the quality tier you pick, so a quick draft costs far less than a 4K render. New accounts start with 30 signup credits, and you top up either with a subscription that refills every month or with a one-off credit pack.

Credits cost about 1.7 cents each in the $4.99 pack (300 credits) and 1.5 cents in the $26.99 pack (1,800 credits). At those rates a 1K Standard GPT Image 2.5 image (10 credits) is about $0.15–$0.17, a 1K Standard photo edit on GPT Image 2.5 (15 credits) about $0.22–$0.25, a 1K Nano Banana 2.1 image (15 credits) about $0.22–$0.25, and a Z-Image Turbo draft (5 credits) under $0.09. Pack credits never expire and there is no subscription.

Subscription credits expire at the end of each monthly credit window, so they do not roll over. Credits bought as a one-off pack never expire — they stay in your balance until you spend them. Your credit history shows the validity of every batch.

Yes. Credit packs are one-time purchases with no recurring charge and no expiry date: $4.99 for 300 credits or $26.99 for 1,800 credits. They are the usual way to keep going after the signup credits run out without committing to a monthly plan.

Images generated on the free signup credits carry a watermark. Once you have an active subscription or a balance of purchased credits, generation is watermark-free for as long as that entitlement lasts.

Every model is available on every plan — plans differ in how many credits you get, not in which models you can reach. Models do differ in credit cost per image, so the same budget goes further on a cheaper model. The models page lists the per-resolution cost for each one.

Yes, once you are on a paid plan. Images made with a subscription or purchased credits come with a commercial license, so you can use them in marketing material, products, and client work. Images made on the free signup credits are for personal, non-commercial use only, and we may display them publicly, for example in the gallery.

Credits spent on a failed generation are refunded to your balance automatically. That includes requests a model's safety filter blocks, up to 3 refunds per day; past that, blocked requests are not refunded. Each model uses its own safety filter, so switching models often gets a blocked edit through. Failed runs stay in your history with the reason, so you can retry without re-typing the prompt.

Yes. Within 7 days of any payment, if you have not generated an image since, email support@gpt-img.com from your account address and we refund it in full, with no fee. Refunding a subscription payment also cancels the subscription.
